Robert Ellis Plotner, 68, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at his home.
Born Sunday, Sept. 5, 1937, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Vernon E. Plotner and Gladys Toms Plotner Kemp.
He was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He also was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne. He was employed by Spichers Appliance, retiring in 2000. Bob also enjoyed aviation for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deanna L. Plotner of Hagerstown; daughter, Vickie D. Trumpower of Hagerstown; two sons, Robert E. Plotner II of Hagerstown and Rick A. Plotner of Hagerstown; two sisters, Millie Wilson of Hagerstown and Patricia Kemp of Hagerstown; four brothers, Ronald Plotner of Falling Waters, W.Va., Vernon Plotner of Hagerstown, Gregory Plotner of Hagerstown and Kenneth Kemp of Hancock, Md; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
